The Raritan Central made a significant investment in its operations with the arrival this month of two rebuilt GP15N locomotives. The GP15Ns will replace some of the older locomotives in our fleet, and promise to significantly increase our operational efficiency and allow for even better service levels for our customers. Equipped with microprocessor controls that provide increased traction and horsepower utilization, the locomotives are perfect for the low-speed, quick throttle response needs of our switching operations. These features are essential for a railroad that prides itself on providing our customers with multiple switches per day at no additional cost. The two locomotives arrived fully painted from the rebuilder, and proudly display the Raritan Central name on their sides. Both are already hard at work serving customers in the world’s greatest marketplace!
